Palomino Fest and Pro Rodeo
set Labor Day Weekend

A CPRA Pro Rodeo, carnival midway, concerts, BBQ Cook-off, grand parade, racing pigs, a ventriloquist and more will all highlight the 2012 Palomino Fest Labor Day Weekend Celebration, August 31-September 2 at the Uvalde County Fairplex.

“This will definitely be the largest weekend celebration in Uvalde history,” said festival coordinator Wade Carpenter. “There will be a lot going on and something for everyone.”

The heritage and music festival began in 1996 when Uvalde’s Grammy Award-winning musicians, Los Palominos, sought to perform for the community that helped them get their start. Now produced by Uvalde Festival and Events Association, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in association with Southwest Texas Junior College, the annual Labor Day Weekend event donates thousands of dollars each year towards SWTJC student scholarships.

Weekend Mega Passes will be available for $15.00 good for all three days. Single day admission is $10.00 per person. Kids age 10 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
