About

Palomino Fest & Pro Rodeo Labor Day Weekend Celebration is devoted to welcoming thousands from across the state to an event full of diverse culture and musical heritage of Southwest Texas.

Palomino Fest is a 3-day plus extravaganza staged by the non-profit Uvalde Festival and Events Association that began in 1996 as a dream by a local group of musicians who, as young brothers from a small town dared to pursue their own personal dream. Hard work and determination led Los Palominos to a path of success.

Annually, over 20,000 guests culminate at the Uvalde County Fairplex and experience memories that will last a lifetime.

As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, Palomino Fest has donated over $285,000 to Southwest Texas Junior College for student scholarships across SWTJC’s 11-County service area….and assists community organizations in raising money for their own causes.

Volunteers invest many hours year-round to prepare for this weekend-long event that attracts visitors to our community from across the state.

From massive concerts and pro rodeo action to the grand parade, endless family entertainment and lots of fun….Palomino Fest continues to be a wonderful event that truly exemplifies the people and community of Uvalde and Southwest Texas.
